I’m so glad you’re here

If you found your way to this page, chances are something in your life feels heavier than it should. Maybe it traces back to a difficult childhood, or to experiences that left their mark. Maybe you notice it now in the way closeness feels risky, in anxiety that won't quiet down, in anger that surprises you, or in a quiet sense that you've lost touch with who you really are. Maybe boundaries feel impossible, or you're carrying patterns you can't seem to put down.

At some point, these ways of coping helped you survive. They were doing their job. It's just that strategies that once protected you can start to feel like walls in adulthood — keeping you stuck, holding you back from the freedom and choice you deserve.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and the owner of Soul Conscious Counseling Services in Phoenix, AZ. With more than 20 years in the mental health and addiction field and licensed for over 14 years as a therapist and having served in various leadership roles, I bring a deep understanding of trauma, recovery, and behavioral health. Formally trained as a Trauma Therapist in Somatic Experiencing- my work bridges clinical psychology with the body's physiological wisdom — integrating evidence-based talk therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing with supporting the nervous system through Somatic Experiencing.

My Approach

I believe healing is a process — in feeling safe enough to be honest, seen, and accepted exactly as you are. That safety and support is where deeper transformation takes place.

So much of what feels "stuck" doesn't live only in our thoughts — it lives in the body. The tension held in the body, the tightness in the jaw, the reactions that fire before you can think, the overwhelm that shows up uninvited: these are often signs that your nervous system is doing what it once learned to survive and keep you safe. Through Somatic Experiencing, we gently work with these patterns, helping your system release what it's been holding. Alongside that, I draw on emotion regulation and cognitive approaches to help you notice what you're feeling and develop tools for ongoing support.

Above all, I meet you where you are- this is your path. My role is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with the authentic, empowered person you've always been.

Healing isn't about becoming someone new. It's about coming home to who you already are.
